How long have you been in business?
We're planning on celebrating our 43rd year in business--spring of 2017---with a party which will invite everyone who has ever worked with us!
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary products are custom printed T-Shirts for business, schools, churches and organizations - Team Uniforms (We screen print, digital print and full color transfer in house----numbers and team names) - Custom Posters (we specialize in book publishing companies, but will print and ship all over the world for anyone. We also mount, laminate and frame)
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My original plan, after college, was to go to law school. That was (thankfully) sidetracked when exposed to screen printing and t-shirts in the early 70's. The thought of possibly making a living doing something which was fun and challenging was a opportunity I couldn't ignore. In those days, it was one day at a time----43 YEARS never occurred to me. I'm extremely lucky & thankful that I have and still do enjoy going to work every day.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We're not so much differentiated as we are diversified. We offer screen printing, digital printing, direct to garment printing & custom transfers- all in house............Team uniforms for all sports......Embroidered sportswear......Custom posters.......a Complete Sign
Shop....Promotional Products.....Trophies and Plaques.....Custom Decals of any size......and more........
Sorta the small business version of one stop shopping.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
This is sweet and sour- Technically, we have 2 locations. Our building (559 S. Highland-for the past 30 years) burned to the ground this past May-2014.
Update; all is mostly sweet as of now Dec. 2016----we have 2 locations; Main location; 707 S. Highland-Memphis 38111...screen printing only; 3190 Jean Dr. Memphis-38118. We have recently put our property at 559 S. Highland (which burned on the Highland strip) up for sale.
